Martin is a Geomatics graduate from Newcastle University UK, and has attended the Advanced Finance Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Business. He has over 30 years experience in a variety of industries and in cross-industry transformation. His career with major global companies included British Airways, American Airlines, Citibank and Chase Manhattan Bank where he ran infrastructure redesign and operations. His interests take him in the direction of assisting or leading major transformation and rapid growth.
He has professional qualifications in quality auditing and project management and has led global infrastructure projects with budgets up to $500 million. A speaker and executive coach, he likes to share his experience with others and develop promising young talent.
In his early years at American Airlines, he led the project to create the worlds first frequent flyer program and has remained on the disruptive edge of business ever since. Recently he has turned his skills and experience towards the healthcare industry, streamlining patient-centric pathways, improving financial and safety performance and advising on good governance issues. He has turned around a number of troubled startup firms in the COO or CEO role and regularly contributes to board development.
