Demetrios has over 28 years experience in Information Technology with Citigroup working in the U.K, Saudi Arabia and Greece. In September 2004, he took early retirement and moved back to Cyprus and continues to provide IT consultancy services to various organizations.
He has successfully managed complex, geographical distributed technology Organizations and projects in Citigroup and SAMBA in Saudi Arabia. Demetrios was the Chief Technology Officer at SAMBA between 1992 and 2003. He was responsible for over 275 technology personnel whose duties covered development, support and operations with an annual IT budget of USD 30 million.
Demetrios has a proven track record, considerable experience and understanding of IT architecture, core-banking systems, product automation related to Corporate, Retail, Transaction Banking, Islamic Banking and Treasury & Investment. He was part of Citigroup’s key global specialists in the areas of technology transformation, strategy, architecture design, information security, and contingency planning.
