Professional Presentation and Public Speaking Skills

Introduction

Almost all of us have presented or will have to present something at work or socially. Presenting to a group of people is quite similar to communicating with a single individual except that the presenter must manage multiple personalities, intellectual abilities, and uneven knowledge levels. He or she must manage the task of sending a predetermined set of information and ensuring that the entire audience receive this information successfully.

Learning Objectives

This program introduces participants to the steps required to develop and deliver an outstanding presentation.
This program also addresses how to manage an audience successfully, and how to deal with speaker anxiety. Handling objections and dealing with negative members of an audience are discussed and practiced during this program.

Program Outcome

At the end of the session participants should be able to :

  • Properly prepare for a presentation
  • Select the most appropriate and effective audiovisual to use
  • Deliver a powerful and effective presentation
  • Skillfully manage the audience and deal with questions and objections

Program Format

The program is designed using the latest techniques of Adult Education and utilizes several Experiential (Action) Learning simulations.

There are a number of mini lectures that will give participants the theoretical and technical knowledge in the areas of human communications, understanding audience dynamics, preparing and delivering a presentation, and handling questions and objections. As much as 50 percent of the program centers around individual and team assignments and role play sessions.

By the end of the program each participant would have individually presented to the entire group at least twice.

Duration

This course will be delivered over 3 days.

Program Language

All program materials will be in English. The actual training sessions will be conducted by Facilitators fluent in both Arabic & English.
